How can I install a modem Huawei E220 ?
I have installed on my Pi Raspbian with desktop 4.19
I install from Synaptic firmware-linux and network manager and I can not see them

and nothing

Undertake a web search for software called sakis3g, though the project appears dead I have had success a few years ago.



Though my final solution was to use a standalone "Huawei E5573bs-322 4G Mobile Wi-Fi Device" on Contract.

Though had to swap out the USB Cable, as the supplied one was charge only, used a charge/data cable and therefore recognised as a USB Network Connection:

I found the solution. It was just reboot. And network manager appear !
Then I configured the conexion. I put some photos. I hope give help to anyone

Please help me!
I have installed ( is "firmware" without "a" correct?):
sudo apt install firmware-linux
Failed to install:
sudo apt install firmware-linux-free
and hyphenate:
sudo apt install network-manager

And I don't have "Advanced Network Configuration" in "Preferences" menu after reboot. Please tell me what should I to do make it appear? I need to connect my Pi via Huawei modem.

yes it is firmware

And for beguiners users like me and you it is useful to use Synaptic.
These software will help you all the way throug. It will tell you also if you need or you want to install others libraries

Hi, ancris00! Thank you for responding! I installed these packages using the Synaptic package Manager, but I never got the Advanced network configuration section. I established a connection using UMTSkeeper.
