OpenElec Kodi with external USB HDD

I believe the file system Raspbian runs on might not be compatible with NTFS drives.

I have Kodi running on a Pi 4 with a 256GB Micro SD card and had to use a

128GB flash drive
broken into 4 Fat 32 partitions of 30GB each

Iirc, the max partition size for Fat32 might be 32GB

I came back to Google wondering if I could use an external HDD exactly the way you tried as the Micro SD card is now out of space.
Surely somehow, some way it's possible to have large external media to host a media library.

Format the drive EXT4 which is a Linux File System:
