Raspberry Pi 4 on first boot won't connect to 144hz 2560X1440 monitor

Thu Mar 05, 2020 3:36 am

I just got my RP4 the other day and on the first boot up after following the instructions it will not connect to my monitor. The monitor doesn't even recognize that something is connected to it and is powered on. I thought I could fix it with SSH but I can't get it to show on mDNS scans since I can't connect it to wifi. I have been searching all over the internet and can't find anything that I can use that doesn't require the raspberry to be connected to wifi. Please respond as soon as possible.

Thanks

have you serached this forum here too? I remember a lot of threats dealing with monitors with the same resolution as yours ..

make also sure to use HDMI0, that's the HDMI connector next to USB-C.

A couple hours after I posted this I found the issue. It was a faulty HDMI cord so I replaced it and it worked fine.
