Pixel doubling on 4K Montitor - Mouse, general UI laggy

Tue Mar 03, 2020 10:26 am

I'm trying to use a 4K monitor with a Raspi 4 B rev 1.2, so far I was able to find out that I need to use the pixel doubling in --> Preferences: Raspberry Pi Configuration: Pixel Doubling
Once that setting is applied the UI and specially the mouse starts showing some heavy lagging.
Is this something to expect or there's some kind of workaround for this behaviour?

That's very odd, will pass on to the desktop guy.

Similar outcome. laggy mouse.

As a Newbie to Raspberry Pi and my first forum post - great work guys! Really enjoying my Pi 4 8gb! Looking forward to the devs making 4K video playback easier to implement.

Same here; noticeable latency of perhaps a few hundred milliseconds when using pixel doubling. Making it kinda hard to click stuff! :D
