is RPI4 compatible with Windows 10 IOT

Sat Jan 25, 2020 6:33 pm

hello,

I'm a beginner in the world of IoT and got me a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B / 4GB and try to run it on Windows 10 IoT core.
However I followed the instructions carefully I haven't got the divice listed in 'My Devices' in IoT Dashboard.

SOSsolutions (seller of the RP4) is not sure whether is Windows 10 IOT compatible RPI4.

thanks,

Microsoft have not even supported the 3B+ / 3A+ yet so looks like a a big fat ZERO chance of the 4B being supported, as already discussed:

You need to ask Microsoft for Support in their MSDN Forum !!

Yes and no.

Yes the hardware of a 4B is more capable than the hardware of the RPis that WIn10 IoT does run on. In that sense it is theoretically capable of being compatible.

No, Microsoft has not released a version of Win10 IoT that runs on a RPi4B. In that practical sense it is not compatible.

So that is an actual NO then.
Memory in C++ is a leaky abstraction .
