[solved] Touch Screen Calibration Issue

Thu Jan 16, 2020 6:17 pm

I just received my new Raspberry Pi 4 a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to configure a 3.5" iUniker touchscreen to work with it. The screen works fine as a display but the touch input is off and needs to be calibrated. However, when I attempt to calibrate the touch screen via xinput-calibration only the upper left point for calibration is on the screen. Since the others are off screen it is not possible to calibrate the touch screen. I am running Raspbian. Any help greatly appreciated.

I managed to solve this after a few more hours of tinkering, I am putting the fix here for other's reference.
To get the xinput-calibrator to fit the screen run

Code: Select all

 xinput_calibrator --geometry 480x320
My 16:9 3.5" screen worked well with 480x320, but this might need modification for other sizes or aspect ratios.
