Earliest image that will boot RPi-4

Thu Dec 05, 2019 2:53 am

From where may I download the earliest Raspbian version that will boot a RPi-4 .
The reason being that I just remembered that when I first got a Pi 4 it booted
( from the image on the downloads page) just fine. No work with config txt needed.
Since then something has changed in the OS that is incompatible with my monitors.
I can configure to make them work, but I want to be able to boot and view off of the
download image. I figure if I work back to an image that works, someone here will
know what change fouled my fun , and perhaps be able to amend the present image
so it will work for me.

Perhaps the embedded firmware was upgraded, and that caused a change?
I don't have a Pi4, no idea if this makes any sense, nor how to upgrade/downgrade the firmware.

Maybe you've developed a hardware problem with your HDMI lead?

I'll pursue that. Works after modifying config.txt ,
but perhaps the edid sense wire (is there such a thing ?)
is defunct .
