Raspberry Pi 3 B+ does not boot with Windows IoT

Wed Nov 27, 2019 7:20 pm

Hello,
I am using Raspberry Pi 3 B+ and I want to use Windows 10 IoT operating system.

I flashed 3B+ technical preview version from here :
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softwa ... windowsiot
using Dashboard.

I am using SanDisk Micro SD 16 GB memory Card. But when I try to boot the Rpi3 B+ it's usually stack in Rainbow screen.

I tried to use NOOBS 3.2 version which I downloaded from here :
https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/noobs/
But I don't find Windows 10 IoT in the list of provided OS.

Please is there anyone who arrive to use Windows 10 IOT with the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ here ? I need to know how it can boot normaly ?

I followed the steps described here and I tried to replace some files from the boot partition of my SD card with other files. It does not work and usually stuck in rainbow screen

Microsoft, who are totally responsible for supporting, appeared to be almost abandoned, so it may be prudent to find an alternative ??

I don't know, because my company that I am working for needs it. Raspberry Pi Model B , and not B+ , works fine with Windows IoT ?

We (RP) do not support WinIoT, that is entirely down to Microsoft. We don't even know what their plans are for the future, if any.

You must talk to MS themselves, we cannot help.

You've posted on the Microsoft forum - did you bother searching for "3B+" first?

You need to post in the MSDN Forum as Microsoft support their Operating System not Raspberry Pi Foundation.

You need to READ the Microsoft forums to find the stuff needed for 3B+ which is an irregular download. You can't hack the generally available download (for 3B) to work on a 3B+, you WILL fail.

A better option is give up with Microsoft's unsupported stuff and use plain Raspbian Buster.

The problem was in the version of my board. I replaced my Pi with RPI B+ version 2017 instead of using 2014 version. And it works now.
