Pi Buster 10 lite autostart chromium

Wed Nov 27, 2019 2:53 am

Hi,

since the new version of Buster 10 i can't find the /etc/xdg/openbox/autostart anymore.
I was wondering how or where is the best way to use a chromium kiosk on autostart on buster 10 lite. Everything was working on the 10/07/2019 version.
Thank you.

Were you using the lite version previously?

As I understand it, chromium require X windows. X windows is not installed on lite versions of raspbian.

Indeed, but if you install Chromium using apt it should pull in all the required packages, including X. "Should" being the operative word.

Indeed. It's possible that the dependencies changed or that the OP had installed some other package that supplied what's now missing.
