Hi everyone,
I do a Cloud on my old Raspberry Pi 1 and now I want put in a box, I find a lot of BOXs but I dont' find one with the space for 2 HD so I can have a BackUp.
Someone know a case for 2 HDD or do it himself with a 3D printer?
Thanks
When you finish it can you post the poject here, so I can print it?FinnC wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 4:16 pmIt’s not finished yet, but I’m working on 3D printable case (similar to a desktop case) called PITX which Will feature hard drive bays, fan mounts, a side panel and a raised mount for the Pi it self. I plan to release on thingiverse after I finish the design sometime this week.
I prefere the 2.5 HDD cause I just have it and I can use it, the same things is for the Raspberry Pi 1, I have it and I use itLTolledo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 12:00 amI used an off-the-shelf mini-ITX case for my RPi4B-2G NAS project
its 80mm thick and is a perfect match to my 2 x 3.5" HDD setup

for your setup, a 60mm version might be better (am assuming you're going to use 2 x 2.5" HDDs)
as its an RPi1 (B?, B+?) connecting 2 HDDs directly to the RPi's USB port will not be enough to power the HDDs
you'll need a powered USB 2.0 hub for that.
the HDDs are connected to the powered USB hub, the USB hub connected to one of the available USB port.
all of these, plus the power supplies and necessary wiring may fit inside the case.

still being used to this day...
