I have just done some Wiki translation in French and I would like the commuity to help me to find out the sex of the RaspberryPI :
If for you it's a "RaspberryPi board" so it's a girl (féminin)
but if it is a "Raspberry computer" so it's a boy (masculin)
please let us know

Re: What is the Sex of the RaspberryPi ?
Well, I think all the connectors are female except for GPIO, which can "go either way" (à voile ou à vapeur).

Pi's too sexy for my shirt......
Ships, aeroplanes and cars are generally "she", so I don't see why a Raspberry Pi can't be what she wishes to be!

It must be female. It takes ages to come.....
Re: What is the Sex of the RaspberryPi ?
No sex. No need to call "she" or "he".
Call "it".
Call "it".

I've been saying "Mucho" to my Spanish friend a lot more lately. It means a lot to him.

Re: What is the Sex of the RaspberryPi ?
As my first thought, the Raspberry must be a she.
Anyway in Molière language, "la Framboise" is a she.
and this one is a small beautiful and cute one.
adopted as a "SHE", and she will take a lot of guy mind )
And now what about the GertBoard ( and is connector)?

Re: What is the Sex of the RaspberryPi ?
While English has no genders, we do attribute genders to certain things. The penis is the only thing I can think of we attribute male gender to. So as it's not a penis, I'm gonna go with female.

Even languages that do use genders are inconsistent. Take German:
the man = der mann
the woman= die frau
the boy = der junge
the girl = das mädchen (!)
My own language is even funnier as we have only two genders:
"Fælleskøn" which with a bit of irony means "common gender"
"Intetkøn" which similarly undertranslated means "no-gender"
People with lingual education might have a bit longer explanation though, but most Danes (including myself) hasn't a clue why a Danish word has the gender it has.

I think the purpose of gender in German is to hash nouns randomly into three bins to maximize use of pronouns. So all dogs are masculine, all cats are feminine, and all guinea pigs are neuter.

Actually for some of the people posting/commenting here, any sort of shower would do.....(well, given what they write)

Re: What is the Sex of the RaspberryPi ?
Didn't twiki carry a RasPi around his neck?
Re: What is the Sex of the RaspberryPi ?
Well raspberries, being fruit, are enlarged ovaries and hence female (so Google says). However if you make them into a pi I'm not sure what happens to the gender.
