Squeezebox Touch Clone ?.........

Fri Dec 14, 2012 12:32 am

I have just gotten a Pi and got it booted up and am now at the login screen.

For my first project with this little Pi, I would like to mimic what the Squeezebox touch does. I believe that there is some software out there that does something like this.

Can someone point me to some instructions to show me how to get this software running on a Pi. I know nothing of Linux, but have played with computers for 40 years. :?

If you have a spare SD card then "SqueezePlug" is probably the easiest route - http://SqueezePlug.de

If you want to install a Squeezebox player on an existing Debian system then I have documented a way to do it on
my blog
SqueezePlug can also (if you want) install LMS (previously known as SqueezeCenter or SlimServer) bringing the possibility of turning off a PC.
