i am guessing something in the .cfg file needs tending to..??
Re: rpi-4 no audio over hdmi
HDMI0? there should be sound
HDMI1? known not to output sound. no use demanding output from this port (at this time)
so which HDMI you connected?
check if your monitor is capable of outputting audio (there are monitors not capable of audio output)
if not capable.. its no use editing the config.txt file.
if monitor is capable of audio output check if
is un-commented in the config.txt
also try changing HDMI cables as well, could be cable problem....

Re: rpi-4 no audio over hdmi
The latest release should have improved support for audio on both HDMI's so update to that and see if that improves things. We've done a fair bit of work on this stuff, and still some stuff to release, but it should result in a much more reliable and usable audio selection process.LTolledo wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 9:45 amHDMI0? there should be sound
