How to set up video/audio looper on Raspberry Pi 4, Model B

Wed Sep 11, 2019 2:31 pm

Hello,

I have used this video looper setup before on a Pi 2 B+ and it worked just fine.

I am now trying to get it to work on a Raspberry Pi 4, Model B, and I can't get any audio to come out of the audio jack even after changing the "hdmi" to "local" in the looper config file. Is this just not compatible with the Pi 4? If not what is the simplest way to set this up to play a video or audio file off of a USB drive?

Thanks for your help,
Rachel

This here seems to work fine: https://videolooper.de

you might still need to edit the audio to use the latest driver, by setting audio_pwm_mode=2 in /boot/config.txt

Hello, thank you for the link. I had come across that before and communicated with the person that put it together.
I got it to loop from this source but the audio coming out of the headphone jack was pretty bad. It had a lot of white noise over the original audio.
This happened with a couple different files.

I added audio_pwm_mode=2 in the config.txt document. The audio is still a bit distorted and very quiet.
