Run feature doesn't do Anything

Fri Aug 30, 2019 12:30 am

Hello, I'm trying to edit my config.txt, and I heard that the way to do this is to enter,
sudo nano /boot/config.txt
but when I try to enter that into the Run feature (or possibly function? I'm not sure) in the start menu, it doesn't do anything. I've checked to make sure I do have Nano text editor on my pi and I do. I've not used my raspberry pi much and I'm not used to the way everything works, I don't really know anything about this stuff. Should I be entering this command in a different program, or do I not have the correct permissions? The answer is probably simple but I can't figure it out, so any help is appreciated.

In the terminal.
Minimal Kiosk Browser (kweb)
Slim, fast webkit browser with support for audio+video+playlists+youtube+pdf+download
Optional fullscreen kiosk mode and command interface for embedded applications
Includes omxplayerGUI, an X front end for omxplayer

As mentioned click on the terminal icon in the taskbar. (Or type lxterminal in the RUN box)

The RUN app IMO is next to useless. However it does allow the user to start GUI applications without using a mouse. For example pcmanfm, galculator etc.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.

thank you very much! I managed to figure out that I had to use the terminal about an hour after I made this post, but its helpful to know that I probably shouldn't use the run function for things like this in the future!
