Android TV running on Raspberry Pi is not Officially Supported by Google..

..and so far there have been no Community Developed releases.

I have tried installing Android TV on Raspberry Pi 3 B and it is working fine. But it is not working with Raspberry pi 4. I think there is a problem with Pi4 model. it is not working properly with any OS. it can work with NOOBS, but tat is also not consistent. many times the system gets hung.

The 4B hardware is a big departure from the 3B+ and earlier models.

Therefore just stating it works on your 3B is totally irrelevant to the OPs question.

The poster Konsta is probably the best developer of Android OS and worth following if you must have any variant of a Community released Android:

i think it will be work:
1. download linage os from https://konstakang.com/devices/rpi4/LineageOS16.0/
2. download gapps package from http://opengapps.org/. (select “arm” , “9” , “pico” and push red button. not tvstock)
3. unzip linage os(do NOT extract gapps package) and write it to sdcard
4. plug sdcard to raspberrypi and boot and setup
5. open Settings -> About tablet and Click ‘Build number’ 7 times to enable developer options
6. open “Settings” –> “Developer Options” and Enable “Local Terminal”.
7. “Settings” –> “Developer Options” and set Root Acess to apps and ADB.
8. open terminal
9. type “su” and enter
10. click OK
11. copy gapps package to USB memory and plug it to raspberrypi
11. type “rpi4-recovery.sh” and enter(if it is raspberrypi3, rpi3-recovery.sh)
12. type “reboot” and enter
13. select “install”
14. click “Select Storage” and select USB-OTG
15. swipe to install gapps
16. wait until install will complete
17. click “Wipe Dalvik” and swipe
18. click “Reboot System”
19. select “Mount”
20. select “Boot” and “System”. then click logo mark
21. select “Advanced”
22. select “Terminal”
22. type “rpi4-recovery.sh boot” and enter(if it is raspberrypi3, rpi3-recovery.sh)
23. type “reboot” and enter
24. unlock and click top
25. click blue
26. click “start”,and wait
27. click “do not copy”,and wait
28. login google account and click “i accept.” and wait(do NOT close app)
30. install your firefox from play store and start it
31. install “TVHome Launcher” and “Set Orientation” from play store
32. download apk from https://aptoide-tv.en.aptoide.com/app and install it
32. press F5 for 3 sec. and select “reboot”,”system”

Has anyone tried Okaji's method yet?

I'm looking to build an Android TV box and need to decide between buying an rpi 3 or 4, since my old 2 won't be enough.
