Colors Wrong on One Display, Fine on Another

Thu Dec 06, 2012 2:15 am

My rpi displays correctly using an HDMI to DVI cable connecting to a small LCD panel, but when I try to use the same cable to connect it to my 42" plasma TV all of the blacks look green.

I've tried increasing config_hdmi_boost all the way up to 7 but the colors are still wrong; all the happens is that the white spots get whiter.

Any idea how to fix this?

I had the same problem connecting via HDMI to my LCD. The setting that eventually fixed it for me was:

hdmi_drive=2

Apparently this forces HDMI mode. At any rate, it worked.

Thanks for the reply; so you're saying that before you made the change, you were getting DVI output that was all green, and that after you made the change, the output colors were correct? And you were connecting to a panel through its DVI port?
