Isaac Comp Sci Discovery @ University of Lancaster

Wed Jul 31, 2019 11:11 am

Discover Computer Science at Lancaster University in partnership with Isaac Computer Science and the Institute of Coding.

The day will include two practical workshops:
  • Exploring the secrets of webpages
  • Design, code, and create your own game on a single strip of lights
You’ll also hear from computing professionals working for leading local employers, and from current university students, who will share their experiences and tips about studying computer science and working in computer science roles.

Who should attend?

This event is for Year 11–13 students who:
  • Are interested in computer science and wondering what to do in sixth form/at university
  • Have done (at least a little) programming and want to learn more
Each school is invited to bring a total of 10 students. Attendance is free, and spaces are limited to 100 students. We expect this event to be over-subscribed. If numbers exceed expected targets, we would look into repeating the event in December. If this event is full, please add your name to the waiting list to give us an idea of potential numbers.

Please register to attend the event at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/discover ... 6648412195

All attendees must register individually; any attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
