hi,
can i install pvr iptvsimple? with previous versions trying to install from debian repo i had to uninstall kodi-rpi4 and synaptic installs kodi from deb repo. Does this version have pvr clients? Is there any way to install it through kodi with a zip or repo file?
thank you
yes you can.

add to your /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://pipplware.pplware.pt/pipplware/dists/buster/main/binary /

in command line
wget -O - http://pipplware.pplware.pt/pipplware/key.asc | sudo apt-key add -

than
apt-get update

after above steps you can search all binary addons available with

apt-cache search kodi

choose your addons and install it with

sudo apt-get install kodi-pvr-iptvsimple

First of all thanks for your work. Greatly appreciated. With the new build interlaced mpeg2 decoding (tvheadend) works. But I stll notice some heavy menu tearing (or graphics corruption) when navigating inside Kodi. Is there a way to fix this?

@secred the only thing I can suggest is to run your GUI at a lower resolution for now.

my Kodi 18.3 installation is not outputting to DAC even when selected

therefore I need to uninstall Kodi 18.3 so I can install Kodi 18.4
apt remove cannot see the installed Kodi
any way to uninstall this?

This is what I did:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge kodi-rpi4
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoclean

Hi guys,
As dumb as it may sound, I am currently recovering from a motorcycle accident. Awaiting surgery on my right hand on Thursday. Unfortunately, this means no access to my RPi 4 and having to type with my left hand.

On the bright side of things, it looks like Rascas' kodi build now works for RPi 4! :D Please follow his guide to install kodi and various binary add-ons here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 6&t=251645.

I will try to chime in when I feel better.

And before I forget, thanks to everyone who bought me coffee! :D :D :D

To be continued.
