Rpi4 Loads of settings gone or please...

Thu Jul 18, 2019 10:12 pm

Hi all,
Just powered on my rpi4 and ran an update from terminal a d then reboot...
I now noticed after a reboot that all the text had gone bigger, the icons are a bit bigger, and the “monitor preferences” icon in the menu has gone, and there is no 4K options anywhere...also I now have a black border around edge of screen which was not there has there been some changes in an update, or have I got issues...
What is the default font size and type, as I am sure it was set at 13 it’s now at 16...?..but even if I put back to 13 all the text is too big, much bigger than it was before...and the icons...

Just don’t understand why all these issues suddenly appeared when all was good with my 4k monitors..
Any ideas anyone..?.

Raspbian occasionally does a desktop refresh, where all the settings go back to default. They usually tell you that the old configuration files are backed up somewhere, but they don't tell you how to do it. It's the only Linux distro I know of that does this. I wish they wouldn't.
