interfacing Raspberry PI 3 and pulse oximeter.

Sun Jul 14, 2019 10:43 am

Dear all,

I am working on my diploma thesis on mobile technology for health care and my task is to take a reading form SPO2/ Pulse oximeter and breathing frequency and direct it to web-based server. I am using a Raspberry PI 3.
Could anyone help me out and tell me if there is a source available to connect SPO2 sensor/Pulse oximeter sensor to Raspberry Pi 3?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Best Regards
Satya

The first question would be what means are available to you for extracting the oximiter readings; UART serial, SPI, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, something else ?

A link to the datasheet of the oximeter you will be using may help others assess that if you don't know yourself.

Have you tried searching the forum for "oximeter"? There a re several threads that may (or may not) be useful.
