Bluetooth Battery Pack

Tue Jul 09, 2019 1:00 pm

Hi,

I'm working on my first R.Pi project at the moment and I am using the 3B+ model. I have an adafruit motor HAT attached but that probably doesn't matter for what my question is.
I am using multiple motors etc for my project and they are all connected via jumper wires. It's starting to get really messy and I was wondering if anybody knows how to create a battery pack that can be switched on and off via bluetooth? :?:

I have this little thing here (https://thepihut.com/products/adafruit- ... motor-disc) to create some vibration and I would like to hook it up to a 6V battery pack (possibly this one https://thepihut.com/products/adafruit- ... off-switch) and place it a bit further away from the pi. So I can programme it to turn on an off when I need it but don't have a 2m long wire in the middle of the room.

I know Bluetooth switches are a thing but I couldn't find anything about using them for battery packs. Any help would be great! :D

Roll your own?

A Pi zeroW in combination with a relay with comms over bluetooth (serial port profile or personal area network profile).

Of course you'd need to power that independantly of any switched outputs that drive the motors.

Or a bluetooth enabled micro controller (microbit?).
