I have just reinstalled the latest stretch version of the distribution on a HP ( Thinkpad ?) Linux 9 stretch when I look at os release.
Previously I am sure sound was ok.
When we load up scratch and play a sound there is no output, with sonic PI it is very faint.
I have looked at some previous posts,
Cat /proc/sound/cards
Gives 0 PCH HDA-intel HDA intel PCH
HDA intel PCH at ......
Under audio device settings there is one option HDA intel PCH alsa mixer default and I have clicked on make default.
Thee are controls for master and speaker, all set to default.
Speaker icon on task bar is set to 100%
Has anyone got a suggestion as to what else I can look at?
