Hi,
I have a Raspberry PI 1 model b+ and decided to try connecting a USB webcam, as I’ve read loads of tutorials which say it can be used as a cheap security camera.
I installed motioneyeos on the SD card and all appears to work correctly - I could connect from my smartphone web browser.
I set the resolution to 1080 as a test and although the picture is great, the lag and frame rate are abysmal!
I tried reducing the resolution substantially, but get the same problem.
Has anyone achieved better frame rates (I’m thinking 20+), and if so, how?
The camera is the Logitech C920.
I left the settings in motioneyeos pretty much as the defaults, other than resolution.
Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions.
