Re: No Docker for Raspbian Buster

Mon Sep 30, 2019 7:55 pm

I was able to successfully install docker on a Raspberry Pi 4 running Rasbian Buster but I am unable to install docker-compose.

Command to install Docker:

Code: Select all

curl -sSL https://get.docker.com | sh

I have tried the pip install method but that does not work.

Code: Select all

sudo pip install docker-compose

Error:

Yes, using pip3:

Code: Select all

sudo pip3 install docker-compose

Does not work for me:

A more general tip, if you have errors like these, it usually means your are missing some "xxx-dev" package.
To quickly find out which one you go to https://packages.debian.org and enter the filename in the bottom search field.

In this case it leads to the package "libffi-dev".

install python3-pip is the magic phrase.
Thank you.
