MP4 Video Player

Mon Jun 17, 2019 5:09 am

Hi,

I have a raspberry pi model 3b +. For a school project, I need a basic video player like this:
- on the main screen a list with video's (MP4-format) where the user can choose a video
- when you select a video and confirm with a button 'OK' the video is playing full screen

- in the future, I would add some buttons to start/stop/pause the video

Can anyone help me how to start?

Kodi
"Don't come to me with 'issues' for I don't know how to deal with those
Come to me with 'problems' and I'll help you find solutions"

Some people be like:
"Help me! Am drowning! But dont you dare touch me nor come near me!"

Sounds more like a school project and the OP is likely supposed to write it himself rather that using an off-the-shelf solution.

I've seen kodi, but is it configurable so I can remove some options on the screen.

for example: I don't want the user to choose for music, tv, ... but only my list of mp4-video's

It also should startup when I powerup the raspberry

Does anyone know how to do this? I already looked into the settings, but I don't see how
