Hi All
I am looking to create a large vending machine for non food items and am interested in suggestions as to the best implementation options.
I want the machine to have the following functionality;
-A large ~22in (possibly more screen with interactive graphics
-Buttons alongside the screen to allow the user to make selections/purchase items
-An interactive user interface on a processor capable of handling it
-An integrated visa payment terminal
-GPS sensor
-SIM card/ability to send all data to and from a central server
-Ability to control external relays etc
-Solar powered with battery and BMS
-SIM card/ability to send all above data to and from a central server
This is a pretty elaborate wishlist, but I was thinking use a Rasberry Pi, coupled with some kind of POS terminal that will communicate with it.
I don't have much experience with Rasberry Pis, are they capable of handling the above requirements?
Does anyone know of a payment terminal that I can control with a Rasberry Pi?
Being solar powered, I presume this would happily run on around 1m2 of panel ~100-200Watts
Appreciate any additional thoughts, suggestions and tips!
Thanks
