Using A Coin Acceptor Output As A Keyboard Input

Sat Mar 16, 2019 4:16 am

Hi,
I am planning on using FruitBox to make a Raspberry Pi Jukebox. FruitBox includes a 'Coin Mode' where a coin is required to play a song. The only problem is is that it requires a Keyboard Input. I was wondering if it is possible to use the output of my coin acceptor to act as a keyboard key press.

Thanks In Advance,
Joel :D

more than likely, what does your coin acceptor output? but for parts or h/w look at something like a digispark or clone, a simple processor with a couple of gpio and a usb interface that can emulate a keyboard.

but if your coin acceptor puts out a 24v a/c signal you will need further circuitry..
