Nano-X
I've just rediscovered http://www.microwindows.org/ which is a very lightweight GUI which I think some of you may find very useful on something like a Zero where the standard desktop can eat a bit too much RAM at times!
Re: Nano-X
Nano-X is also very easy to get going on just about any OS, or even without an OS underneath. Nano-X has a large subset of the XLib API as well as FLTK, and a decent Win32 API subset. And it is possible to run Nano-X with a few applications and an OS in less than 128KB of RAM, so plenty of potential for saving memory. Nano-X is very easy to port, and makes porting X applications as well as Win32 Applications to a new system very simple (some work needed, though not to much).
