I just published a beginners course about Windows 10 IoT Core on the Raspberry Pi

Wed Feb 27, 2019 9:35 pm

Hi Everyone,

after some time I finished working on an online course about Windows 10 IoT Core software development on the Raspberry. You can find the course at

https://www.udemy.com/getting-started-w ... evelopment

The course aims at beginners and should give you a kickstart for developing your own applications for Windows 10 IoT Core.

During the introduction the course is available for free with the coupon code WINDOWS_IOT_INTRO.

If you are interested in Windows 10 IoT Core, I would be glad if you could take a look at the course and give feedback in form of a brief review on the course site.

Best Regards,
Florian

Interesting! I will check it out. Right now, I am only thinking about using Windows 10 IoT. I want to make my own home automation system.

You should use something else. Windows 10 IoT Core looks to have been abandoned by Microsoft. Last release was in 2018 and they never officially supported the Pi 3B+. It was limited to a technical preview that never got updated.

Essentially useless for any buyers of modern Pi for which Win 10 IoT does not work.

The whole Win 10 IoT core thing seems to be legacy and unsupported now so the best advice is to get people using Raspbian.
Memory in C++ is a leaky abstraction .

We have removed the WinIOT download link from our downloads page, as far are we are concerned it is no longer of interest.

Perhaps you should lock this sub-forum as there's no support left for it either.
