CM3+ Power sequencing

Mon Feb 18, 2019 1:01 pm

Hi,

If Vbatt is 3.3-4.2V am I correct in assuming the proper power-up sequence is:
VBATT -> 3V3 -> 1V8?

Quoting from the datasheet:
7.1 "Supplies should be staggered so that the highest voltage comes up first, then the remaining voltages
in descending order."

But VBAT is post regulated on the CM with at an undefined start-up time. Because of this I'm not sure on the proper sequencing order.
Also, sequence delays and rise times aren't specified. Are these don't care?

Thanks.

Don't know how you want to design your power supplies. On my LVDS4CM3L I've used a 5V DC/DC as 'main regulator', 3.3V and 1.8V DC/DC's (I have two independant ones, picture of the PCB is here https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... 2#p1361021) were configured for the same startup-time. works like a charm...
