CM3+ Compute module

Fri Feb 01, 2019 3:05 pm

We have a new compute module CM3+. For the moment we are using a board with CM3.
The modules are pin compatible. When replacing the module the kernel is not booted.
The datasheet says we need new firmware.
I have updated the kernel/overlays/modules (latest git) and now the board is booted BUT we don't see any performance difference.
When I look at the used ram / cpu it is still the same as the CM3.

Do we need additional steps to get the CM3+ correct running ?
Is it possible by updating only the kernel modules or do we need to make a completely new image ?

Regards,
Tom

The CM3+ has better Heat Dissipation, it runs at the same speed and offers a choice of eMMC sizes.
