For a week or two now I have found that selecting this option does not always work, next time I enter the forum the older messages still sometimes still show as unread. Does not occur every time but I would guess about one time in three. Can find no other posting advising of this, if not already in hand could the person responsible please take a look

One of the mods stated they where looking at new forum software so it’s unlikly this will get fixed till that call is made

I gave up with the read settings and use the new posts option now.

The software used here is a few versions out of date and even the latest has a few ‘features’ in it

I have seen this (or, at least, what I suspect is the cause of it), but don't have any problems as long as I wait for the confirmation pop-up before moving on. When the pop-up does not appear after a reasonable time, clicking the option again seems to work - I don't remember having to do it three times.

Never seen that happen on this forum (and that's since I registered here)

I usually read the forums on my iPhone/iPad (Safari browser) and it works fine for me.
