you prolly dident disable ssh, you fracked up the setting neede for the network card to get an ip.

set the card to use dhcp again and it shold work, use that to make sure it works.

this is the default rpi setup

[email protected] ~ $ cat /etc/network/interfaces
auto lo

iface lo inet loopback
iface eth0 inet dhcp

allow-hotplug wlan0
iface wlan0 inet manual
wpa-roam /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
iface default inet dhcp

if you want to set static use somthing like:
➜ glennwiz-main ~ cat /etc/network/interfaces
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.0.105
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 192.168.0.0
broadcast 192.168.0.255
gateway 192.168.0.1
dns-nameservers 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4

➜ glennwiz-main ~

Try

for some examples.

I have
  • auto wlan0
    iface wlan0 inet dhcp
    wpa-ssid "MySSID"
    wpa-psk "MyPASS"
and it doesn't work
ssh works but X11Forwarding does NOT

I doubt if X forwarding has got anything to do with /etc/network/interfaces.

What are you trying to run and what error message do you get?

Try the command

env

It should have entries for SSH_CONNECTION and DISPLAY.

Do they look sensible?

It's possible to use ssh to launch fbi and display images on a remote terminal, for example:

sudo fbi -noverbose -m 1920x1080 -a -t 5 -T 2 *jpg

The -T 2 is the key part here that tells it to display the images on "tty2"
