Raspberry Pi start-up problems

Fri Nov 16, 2012 12:41 pm

Hi,

I've got a really strange problem with my Raspberry Pi. If I boot it with HDMI monitor, it start and connect to my network. Without monitor plugin, it will not connect to my network, and I'm not sure if it starts? (How can I check?)

Somebody with the same problem and an solution?

Rob

Composite monitor/TV?
You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.
When General Failure and Major Disaster get together, Private Parts usually suffers.

If network doesn't start enter the following command: ifconfig does eth0 show errors or missing IP address??

Try:
ifdown eth0
ifup eth0

is your network up and running??

Other than that try measuring the voltage at TP1/TP2, what readings are you getting??

HDMI

Network is ok, with attached monitor (HDMI) it will start and connect to the network. Without the monitor, nothing.

And typing wil not work without monitor, if I attached it, everything works perfect.

I think that it will not start at all? (Red LED is burning)
