Mount cifs vers=1.0 issue

Sat Dec 08, 2018 12:59 pm

Hi

So, got Dlink Nas 320. Downloaded Noobs, installed Raspbian.

I am mounting CIFS share with this:
mount -t cifs //192.168.2.101/transfer/ /media/transfer -o vers=1.0,username=...,password=...

I am using vers=1.0 as doesn't accept anything else, though what is happening is: when I delete the files with rm then files are deleted from NAS but available space is not changing....
I was suspecting NAS to do something weird, but I did exactly the same on old Mint laptop which seems to default to 1.0 and works perfectly fine. Is something messed up with the new version?

Pi package:
cifs-utils/stable,now 2:6.7-1 armhf [installed]
Mint package:
2:6:0-lubuntu2

Going by this thread http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=45982.0 it looks like a 'quirk' on the NAS and nothing to do with the Pi.

One poster had success by deleting the file, going into the recycle bin and deleting them from there.

The last post has info about deleting from the web interface rather than a share
Need Pi spray - these things are breeding in my house...

Return to “Raspbian”
