Is the screen HDMi ?

Is the touch screen controlled via USB connection ?

If the touch is via USB then plug it in and post back output of:

Code: Select all

lsusb -v

Thanks for your reply the Monitor has HDMI/VGA and has a USB Input . When plugging into HDMI I can see everything perfectly on Monitor just don't have the Touch Screen capability , Manufacture manual comes with instructions to download and install driver from there link . I have the Driver zip file downloaded onto my PC . Do you know to install this driver onto the Pi3

this is the monitor

The touch part of touch screens never works via the HDMI cable. In this case the touch function needs the USB cable connected.

The driver available for download is for Windows PCs with Intel/AMD/etc processors. Don't even try to install it on a RPi.

You were asked to plug in to USB and give the result of

Code: Select all

lsusb -v
but you did not.

I did Plug in USB , but no way to change the Input selection only options are VGA/PC/HDMI I think the USB is only for uploading updating Monitor. If you know any other way please let me know or maybe a 13-15" monitor that would work Thanks for you help

so if you plug in the monitor/usb connection and run the lsusb (list usb) command above

Code: Select all

lsusb -v
you should get some information about what the Pi Thinks is currently plugged in.. and from there.....

You seem to have difficulty comprehending that the HDMI port on the monitor is a video input from the RPi and the USB port is for sending the mouse-like signals from the touch screen to the RPi. The HDMI and USB ports are independent and neither can do what the other one does.

If you cannot run the commands you may do better with:

14 inch KIT from here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSKmG1VFA4w but you will need a housing
Need Pi spray - these things are breeding in my house...
