Hi there,
I have recently bought a PI 3 and successfully installed Windows 10 IOT. I can boot the device up and it displays on my TV via HDMI as one would expect.
When i installed the data to the SD card i changed the device name and the password.
I'm now trying to access the Device Portal from the Core app via my laptop across Wi-Fi (or Ethernet, tried both).
When the browser opens, it asks me for my Username and Password, but when i enter "Administrator" and the password i set up, it does not allow me access. I have obviously tried the default password just in case it hadn't changed, but that also fails. Also tried various other things sucjh as the device name as opposed to Administrator just in case, but alas.
I can successfully ping the device and get a response, so i know it's connected Ok.
Does anyone know why i cannot successfully get into the Device Portal?
It's driving me insane.

I succeeded with this text that I took on the Windows Iot Dashboard download site.
After your device is connected to the internet, the IoT Dashboard will automatically detect your device. To find your device, go to My Devices. If your device is not listed, try rebooting the device. Make sure that if there are more than one devices on the network, they each have a unique name. Also make sure that your windows10iotcoredashboard.exe is allowed to communicate through Windows Firewall by following the steps below:
Open Network and Sharing Center and then find the type of network (Domain/Private/Public) your PC is connected to.
Open Control Panel and click System and Security.
Click Allow an app through Windows Firewall under Windows Firewall.
Click Change settings.
Find windows10iotcoredashboard.exe in Allowed apps and features and then enable the appropriate network check box (i.e. the network type you found in step 1).
