Setup and updates not working

Hi
This morning I downloaded "RASPBIAN STRETCH WITH DESKTOP AND RECOMMENDED SOFTWARE" then wrote it to my card and tried to run it. I get on bootup and completion that it cant do update's something to do with week or bad signatures.

So I loaded up the terminal and issued apt-get update(as root) and retrieved the follow from the prompt via putty.

Pi 3 B in operation and a 256 card

Can you help sort it out?

Check if your card is damaged or a fake

If it's OK then check the checksum of the zipfile.
Write the image with Etcher.
Boot Pi with the card.

Card looked ok so .
check summed the zipfile = ok
redid (etcher) the image to card.
Booted Pi = Same results.

Took a known good card out of my phone and,
redid (etcher) the image to new card.
Booted Pi = Same results(while I cant confirm the results are identical they look similar)

What is 'looked OK'?
Did you use a test program like h2testw (on Windows)?

Seems a recuring problem between "The following signatures were invalid: BADSIG 9165938D90FDDD2E Mike Thompson (Raspberry Pi Debian armhf" and any project I do I have tried other flavors of OS for my Pi, even going to "DietPi

" the same thing sounds as if they are corrupt

the armhf and certainly signatures of the files. Looked in the sources list to see If those could be removed but I do not think so.

That sig is for the Raspbian repo. I don't think you can get rid of these for any Raspbian related distro.

Went back to Raspbian 13-3-2018 from the old versions.
While not having the setup dialog, I did still have problems with the samish text about the drivers/armhf and using old versions.

They cant all be corrupt can they!!? Something wrong somewhere .
