Bluetooth Keyboard attachment

I'm intending to use a bluetooth keyboard which necessitates a USB dongle.

Most dongle suppliers list only windows operating systems as acceptable.

Will these dongles actually work with the linux debian supplied on the SD card or do I need another type of dongle

It depends on the chipset used! Many cheap ones use the "Cambridge Silicon Radio" chipset and there is built in support for that (plus a few others I believe.).

You can also check the "verified" peripherals list which lists at least one bluetooth keyboard, and several general purpose bluetooth usb adapters:
