Raspbian 4.14 on Pi2 - Mouse issues

this is my first experience with the Rpi. had Pi2 for some time. just loaded the latest Raspbian on it. wifi Mouse - hp - is not working properly. It slides, drags. it works fine on other systems. any help would be appreciated. looking forwards.

Is it a Wifi or Bluetooth mouse?
Does it come with a USB dongle?
Do you have a link to the mouse on the HP site?

What have you tried and how is this different from what you would do on a PC / Mac?

it is wifi mouse that came with a small dongle. following is thelink to the similar modle.

I just plug the dongle and play it on other computers. same way I used it on Rpi as well. rebooted a couple of times. same issue.
