I am Peter. I live in the UK. I studied computer science at Uni many years ago (glad I learned how to calculate switching currents for magnetic core storage, that's been really handy). I cut my teeth on PDP-11s then Vax, the former used for data acquisition in high energy physics). I then moved into databases before moving away from development altogether. I am back developing though, and an now working with SAS and Oracle (and wishing I had never given up on development). For home projects I dabble with Delphi, Python and R. I have a small collection of Pi's, a PCdurino and a few Adurinos. Three Pi's are dedicated to streaming music using Mamboberry and HifiBerry DACs, one is coupled to a GPS Hat and looking for an application (NTP server for my UKMON meteor camera). Other interests include astronomy and astroimaging (when time and weather allow, which is rarely these days). I am also co-founder of the UK Meteor Observation Network.

Hi everyone, Richard here. I've been dabbling with RPis for a year or so with varying degrees of success! I've got a RPi3 in the living room running moOde audio, and last year I built a project for the local museum which plays a WAV file and controls a smoke generator, based on a Pi Zero W. Getting that to work with Python was a challenge as I'm completely new to Python and it seems to work like no other language I've come across recently! I'm more used to Assembly Languages for microcontrollers. I look forward to joining in here.
Regards - Richard

I've wanted a Pi for so long. Just never got around to it!

Howdy!

Got my first Pi put together last week. Started off with RetroPie, then burned Raspian full on another card. Today I set up PiCorePlayer and played around with it a while. May look into making a Pi based oscilloscope to aid me in my vintage electronics restoration hobby.

See y'all around!
I'm into vintage and antique radios myself—have a Heathkit IO-12 oscilloscope, '51 Crosely D-25 clock radio, Heathkit EA-2 amp, and others. Would love to hear your progress! :)

Hello all,

I'm a career IT guy but never really jumped in the linux universe. I've been doing a few RaspBerry projects so I thought I would stick with what works for me.

My name is Casey I've commonly had a great time low measurement stuff, for instance, developing specialist and later on transformed into an ARM engineer having expanded home comprehension on my trusty Acorn A3000. Various years earlier I was used as an ARM architect just to never contact the building operator expertly for quite a while as yet when I wore down an ARM based set-top box.

so now you know....
By the way, I'm a 62 year-old electronic engineer from the Netherlands, and I love RPI's, and Retro computing. Im currently designing a retro homecomputer kit based on a Z80 that can generate VGA video, called "Rho CoCo".
