So I just got my Pi up and running yesterday with a cute little 3.5" touch LCD powered by GPIO.
I have a ribbon cable I wanted to use to extend the GPIO, but I couldn't get it to work. The screen stayed totally off.
I figured maybe i had it plugged in wrong?
The way the ribbon cable connects isn't exactly intuitive. So I spun the LCD around and it turned white! Sweet. A white screen is what I get if I plug the LCD in while the Pi is running. Restarting it fixes it.
Except this time restarting it didn't fix it. It stays white... With or without the ribbon cable.
So I notice that the Green ACT is not illuminating. I take the SD out and plug it in PC, says it is corrupted. So I reformat, image NOOBS and try again.
Nothing. I am doing the exact same thing I was before to image noobs onto the SD and it says successful.
Nothing I do will get the ACT to light up. Just solid red.
Could I have killed it messing with the GPIO and the LCD? Really bummed as this is my stuck in the hurricane project and can't really get another any time soon.
