My Pi 3 hacked
Hi mates, I think that my pi 3 has been hacked. My question is how can I get it back as I do not have physical access to it, however, I can connect to it from local network via TeamViewer. I also have ftp login as normal user(not admin privileges). SSH has been removed so ssh is not possible. Any suggestion will be helpfull.
Re: My Pi 3 hacked
If you really have been hacked the only safe way is to replace (or reformat) the SD card.
Did you or the "hacker" remove SSH service ?

... and flash a new copy of raspbian (lite? desktop?), or make a new install using NOOBS/PINN.
in the new installation make a new set of passwords (dont use any of the passwords from your old compromised setup).

However, if you do not have physical access to it then it will be much harder than usual to rewrite the SD card.
Is it a Pi that supports booting from the network instead of the SD card?
What is preventing your physical access?

Unless the RPi SBC is booted from a Server, having physical access is the only solution

The information is out there....you just have to let it in.

How do you not have access to a computer on your local network?
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?

Local network does not always mean physically local. TeamViewer is remote VPN type access.HawaiianPi wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 6:18 amHow do you not have access to a computer on your local network?
Re: My Pi 3 hacked
I have a local network of 4 units that are at the top of tall masts and communicating via WiFi. Actually getting up there to tweak them would require calling the service guys to go up there with a cherry picker. Which is expensive an time consuming.
