If you remove programs via Recommend Software, the options to use it are still left in 'Choose Application'
(Right click on a file, select Open With...)
Of course it just does nothing (not even an error message).
Found out by
I needed to open a .c file, so I selected Geany via the Open With... & Choose Application.
It didn't work.
So I checked recommend and I had previously removed it.
These options need to be removed from the open with on uninstall.
(I couldn't find the GitHub quickly, sorry).

I saw the same thing when I did the update. If I recall correctly, even in a fresh install some programs that are no longer included by default and available in the new "recommended programs" thing are still visible in that "open with" menu even if they were never installed.
