Stretch gui vs stretch lite python3

Sun Sep 16, 2018 6:17 am

Hello world,

I have tried to search for this answer, apologies in advance if I missed it, or if I have posted this on the wrong forum

Youtuber Tinkernut pointed out this python3 script (I will share at the bottom including my systemd setup) which I have used extensively in my rpi zero projects.

It takes the rpi camera module stream and serves it up in a browser window on your network at ip addr:8000.

Now the python3 script works without a hitch with 2018-04-18-raspbian-stretch.img, but not 2018-06-27-raspbian-stretch-lite.img, which I would prefer to use for a simplified base system.

Can anyone give me some advice or pointers how I can get the python3 modules default on 2018-04-18-raspbian-stretch.img onto my 2018-06-27-raspbian-stretch-lite.img?

Below is the python script called spi_cam.py and systemd setup I follow

cd ~

sudo nano spi_cam.py

and paste in below: # Web streaming example
# Source code from the official PiCamera package
# http://picamera.readthedocs.io/en/lates ... -streaming
import io
import picamera
import logging
import socketserver
from threading import Condition

camera.start_recording(output, format='mjpeg')
try:

server = StreamingServer(address, StreamingHandler)
server.serve_forever()
finally:
camera.stop_recording()

You may want to format your post with code tags and things, check he bbcode link (under the smilies) and/or use the formatting toolbar.
