Just because you can read from the card does not mean it is still good. I have had one SD Card with BSD fail, it still reads well, though trying to write to it is hit or miss.
sorry for the late response, how do I check it's status?DavidS wrote: ↑Sun Sep 09, 2018 4:16 pmJust because you can read from the card does not mean it is still good. I have had one SD Card with BSD fail, it still reads well, though trying to write to it is hit or miss.
So you are trying to use a speaker power supply to run a pi3B a screen and a fan !
I run the fan because the screen doesn't turn off it's just black and it overheats like crazy. I can get another source of power for this fan but my question is what am I doing with the SD card? I can write to it and take stuff off it.pcmanbob wrote: ↑Sun Sep 16, 2018 8:41 pmSo you are trying to use a speaker power supply to run a pi3B a screen and a fan !
It might say 5v on it but at what current ? I would think you would need at least 2.5A to supply all that, and you power supply needs to supply 2.5A at 5V no some thing under 5V which is what it looks like your existing power supply is doing.
If you have been seeing an under-voltage alarm for months I would say you have been lucky not to corrupt your SD card, may be your power supply is now starting to fail due to it being run in an overload state for so long, and that's why your pi rebooted spontaneously .
I said a few posts back it supplies up to 5V. The raspberry boots fine with another SD card and the "corrupt" one can be written to and read of just fine.pcmanbob wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 8:03 pmI would say you need to consider a new power supply for your pi and the screen etc, I suggest the raspberry pi official power supply.
you still have not said what the current rating of this JBL Orange brick is supposed to be.
then you can see if you still have a problem with the SD card or if you pi will boot properly, but I would suspect you may have either SD card corruption or possibly a failed SD card which you can write to, but its pointless trying to solve the SD card problem while you are still getting under voltage warnings.
