Model 3b+ not booting

Fri Sep 07, 2018 9:18 pm

Hi,
I was working on a project involving the RPi camera module when the cable fell out of the module (turns out I hadn't put the cable in far enough) and briefly touched the top of the Pi. Everything turned off instantly and now my Pi refuses to boot. I have the red power light, however the Pi can't seem to recognise the card. I have tried reformatting the card and booting raspbian from fresh, and also tried that on a new sandisk card, however the Pi is still only displaying the red light, no green.

I also read that it could've been a blown polyfuse so left it for 48hrs, again to no avail.

Sounds like the typical deceased mode of a Pi 3B+. If you have a multimeter you can measure the 3V3 voltage on the GPIO connector. If not present then it's very likely dead.
