I don't know why Americans get so excited about presidential elections after all it's congress who run the country the president is nothing more than an international PR / puppet figure.

Why........ does president Obama........ pucntuate........ his sentences with silence?

Is it because........ it makes everythingseem epic?

Like "I'm going to the shops........ I could be some time........ if Garrry rings........ tell him........ I'll call back........ Should I get the blue top milk........ or the green?"

Hmm that didn't really work for me - perhaps there's more to being presidential than I anticipated - perhaps if I stare into the middle distance at the same time...

I have to say Obama is probably most dull and uninspiring president of the USA I've ever seen.
I'm sure he's a nice guy in real life but his public speeches really make my want to cringe.

It would be interesting to see who wins this time round Obama or Romney at least they're better matched than Obama vs Mccain.

Turning serious, for just a second, one thing the Prez does is nominate Supreme Court Justices, and that's a very big thing, with many-year-consequences. A few Justices are old enough to be retiring soon, so what happens in the next few years will be very important.

Yes - shame he doesnt listen to them when they make rulings about deep water drilling and then blames a mostly American owned company which used to have the word 'British' in its name instead of the American contractor whose 'fault' everything really was.
