SOLVED: Is there an R-Pi wifi driver for monitor mode?

Thu Aug 16, 2018 3:31 pm

I'm attempting to use a TP-Link TL-WN725N wifi dongle on an R Pi3 in monitor mode, so far unsuccessfully.
I received the following feedback from a TP-Link representative:

"Currently the official drivers on our official site are not supported for Monitor Mode or other advanced mode on Linux, and there is no plan in our R&D to develop the driver which supports these modes.
Users needs to modify the file named "Makefile" manually.
The chipset of the 725N is REALTEK RTL8188EUS-VG-CG. If possible, you may search the suitable driver in Github or some other professional forum."

Can anyone point me to a driver that will support monitor mode? This same dongle works fine on a LattePanda 4Gb/64Gb running ubuntu 16.04

The solution for me was here: http://downloads.fars-robotics.net/wifi ... u-drivers/
The instructions are on http://downloads.fars-robotics.net/
